ROLE SUMMARY
The main purpose of this position is to prepare Material Identification Application (MIA) for the different VMR sections, monitor the activities of the satellite store, and enter data of the work orders monitoring the Oil tank consumption.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Receives and reviews requests from the different VMR sections of the items needed to be drawn out form the central store, creating MIAs as necessary and making sure that the correct AVS numbers are added.
· Ensures that the requested items are available.
· Issues non-stock items and service charges through the system.
· Ensures performance of daily and weekly inventories of the satellite store, to confirm physical count against system count.
· Makes sure that all the items and parts are within the required minimum numbers to support the automotive maintenance activities.
· Receives the requests from the VMR sections for the needed materials and forwards it to the storekeeper.
· Makes sure that all the requests are entered on the specified log sheet for tracking the consumed items.
· Receives and reviews the work orders sent on daily basis by the different VMR sections for further spare parts supply, or for update, data entry and closure.
· Enters data on system while reviewing and adding the needed missing details such as correct part or service numbers, material/service charges, labor transaction, type of repair and others; generating work efficiency and other reports as related to submitted data.
· Monitors the engine and hydraulic oil consumption by checking on daily basis their levels in the tanks manually, and using special apparatus.
· Validates changes in oil levels in the tanks against volume consumptions mentioned in daily work orders and investigates discrepancies with the workshop supervisor.
· Records changes in oil levels in the log sheet and updates report for review and replenishment by the superior.
· Supervises the loading of the oil tanks from the suppliers, with the Automotive Maintenance Supervisor and Storekeeper, checking the amounts ordered
Complies with the health & Safety instructions
· Responsible in exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self & others in the organization
· Responsible to comply with the applicable HSE procedures, instructions, requirements, standards received from regulatory and statutory bodies
· Responsible for reporting to superior occurrences, events, violations and acts that may impact staff health and safety or the environment
PERFORMANCE MEASURES/SUCCESS CRITERIA
MIAs and handles the non-stock items process for the different VMR sections.
