ROLE SUMMARY
The main purpose of this position is to perform maintenance and repair activities on vehicles and heavy equipment, as instructed by the Foreman, ensuring abidance by set safety standards and instructions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs preventive maintenance activities as per instructions.
Performs vehicle inspection, as per planned preventive maintenance schedule and foreman instructions, listing related findings on check list.
Changes vehicle oil, filters, water and performs other maintenance related repairs.
Replaces spare parts as per check list and as instructed by the superiors.
Properly handles all tools, equipment and resources while performing assigned tasks.
Performs assigned tasks in compliance with the set safety and health standards.
Performs corrective maintenance activities and repairs as per instruction.
Replaces spare parts as per corrective maintenance activities and needs, as instructed by superiors.
Requests spare part as per Automotive Maintenance Foreman approval.
Performs basic corrective maintenance and repairs activities further to vehicle breakdowns, as instructed by the Technicians and Foreman.
Reports detected abuse on vehicle to the Automotive Maintenance Foreman.
Performs repairs on the operations field, as per request.
Properly handles all tools, equipment and resources while performing assigned tasks.
Performs basic welding, painting and denting activities on vehicle cabin and superstructure.
Properly handles all tools, equipment and resources while performing assigned tasks.
Responsible to comply with the applicable Health and Safety procedures, and requirements provided during trainings and as listed in the OHS manual; reporting occurrences, violations and acts that may affect staff safety.
Performs other tasks and activities as requested.
Complies with the Health & Safety instructions:
Responsible in exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self & others in the organization
Responsible to comply with the applicable HSE procedures, instructions, requirements, standards received from regulatory and statutory bodies
Responsible for reporting to superior occurrences, events, violations and acts that may impact staff health and safety or the environment
PERFORMANCE MEASURES/SUCCESS CRITERIA
Performs all required repairs within deadlines.
Performs maintenance and repairs with 100% compliance to safety
