Major leading Jordanian company is seeking to hire a full time medical doctor / adviser
Duties and Responsibilities
* Examine, diagnose and treat patient company employees who have been referred to the clinic
* examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions;
* issuing prescriptions and further medical procedure .
* Overseeing that implementation the regulations of the corporate medical insurance policy .
* Acting as a member of the medical board in evaluating medical cases and sick leaves & approving them.
* Issuing and distributing circulars and correspondences concerning medical insurance
* Overseeing that medical insurance cards
* Supervising the activities of medical facilities that operate under the company umbrella
* Participating in the drug and alcohol abuse program by doing spot checks
* Ensuring that all medical drugs and consumables are available at all times
* coordinate with internal and external entities regarding corporate medical issues
* Maintain awareness of advances in medicine, computerized diagnostic and treatment equipment, data processing technology, government regulations, health insurance changes, and financing options
* Consulting with medical, business, and employee groups to discuss service problems, respond to employee needs, enhance public relations, coordinate activities and plans, and promote health programs..
* Collaborating with the Ministry of Health regarding the application of national health policies, in cases of epidemics such as SARS
General Administrative Duties
* Proposing long, medium and short term strategies to manage activities concerning the medical section
* Overseeing all functions in the medical section
* Leading and directing subordinates & delegating tasks & duties to them.
* Managing & approving subordinates’ personnel matters such as their leaves and vacations.
*Ensuring performance efficiency and proper procedure implementation in the section/unit aligned with policies.
* Determining staffing, training, and resource requirements for the medical section.
* Managing and tracking budgets for the section & action plan progress for functions.
* Coaching and mentoring subordinates & encouraging knowledge share in the section/unit.
* Making or approving significant decisions related to the section/unit.
