- Monitoring of proper and accurate accounts and insuring proper allocation and completeness of accounting data.
- Overall review of the company’s financial position including cash in hand, at banks and finance resources.
- Insuring that all accounting transactions are in conformity with the requirements of the Lebanese laws and procedures including timely declarations to governmental or other public sectors (VAT - Tax on Pay - Social Security…).
- Review of adequacy of provisions whether related to contingencies or other charges (end of service indemnity…)
- Creation and maintenance of the Chart of Accounts in conformity with the Lebanese Chart of Accounts and in coherence with the required tax declarations and requested managerial reports.
- Acting as the company representative during audits and official inspections.
- Verification of all requests of Payments against budget and set procedures.
- Launching and assessment of departmental budgets, discussions with HODs, compilation into company budget, presentation to the Management, with quarterly updates and modifications whenever necessary.
- Preparing budgets and business plan plus forecasted cash flows and issuing monthly/ quarterly/ semi annual / annual financial position, income statement, cash flows.
- Preparing SSI declarations.
- Review and control of all accounting and related entries (payroll, assets, job costing…).
- Understanding local laws and ensuring timely declarations to concerned governmental/legal authorities.
- Review of payroll and insuring proper and timely submittal of forms and declarations to the Ministry of Finance, NSSF or other financial declarations to public sectors.
- Planning and monitoring of the works of team members through the daily control of all types of transactions posted into the accounting system.
- Training and coaching of Team members.
- Monitoring and briefing of team members on work efficiency and progress.
- Insuring the timely submittal of all deliverables requested from the department.
- Assessment of team members and suggesting trainings, promotions, raises…
