The Retail Designer (RD) works within the Landlords Retail Design and Delivery Department and prime function is to implement the Landlords Design Criteria on all Tenants to successful conclusion of Concept Design approval so as to ensure that the Design Guidelines set forth in the Design Criteria Manual (DCM) by the Company are adhered to.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ TASKS
INTERNAL
• Take ownership/review of the Design Criteria Manual (DCM).
• Provide updates on the master tracking document all Tenant related design activity.
• Report out weekly to the Retail Delivery Manager.
• Preform regular site visits to review Tenant demises and monitor fit out in accordance with approved concept and detailed drawings.
• Participate in meetings to discuss issues and status.
• Review and determine daily priorities.
• Seek authorization when required.
• Escalate issues through chain of command.
• Establish priorities.
• Seek clarification regarding agreed terms and conditions with Tenant.
1. Leasing Executive
• Seek and provide information.
2. Tenant Coordinators
• Track milestones are being met.
3. Lease Plan Designer/s (LOD)
• Coordinate and obtain final lease plan for submission to tenants.
EXTERNAL
1. Tenants
• Monitor Tenants fit out against approved plans.
• Snagging of unit prior to opening.
2. Designers
• Liaise with the Tenants appointed designer.
• Research and understand the Retail Brand.
