Shall be Responsible to translate business needs into integrated Human Resource solutions.



Fully leveraging people management, employee capability and organizational development within the respective Line of Business.



Contribute to the Manager and Employee relationship by building understanding of HR strategies, policies and programs, and by providing value added advice and counsel in all areas of Human Resources.



Reinforce & formulate appropriate HR policies which includes the Compensation Benefits, Salary Scale standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with the organization’s vision, mission and values and adherence.



Ensure the adherence to Corporate HR policies, programs and standards.



Responsible for Annual Corporate HR initiatives related to Performance Management, Talent Planning, and Base and Incentive Pay, ensuring the needs of the company and Corporate HR are met in a timely and efficient manner.

- Must have knowledge of HR concepts, policies and practices acquired through formal academic training and/or relevant years experience in an HR generalist capacity and/or corporate HR areas of expertise

- Must have a strong understanding of HR governance/legislation and CIBC’s HR policies and programs

- Should have strong knowledge of program management, change management and implementation planning capability

- Should have strong business acumen and understanding of the assigned client groups



Must have consulting skills and the ability to persuade/influence business leaders



Must have strong problem solving skills, the ability to determine root cause of complex issues and arrive at sound HR/Business solutions

Must have strong communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills



Must have strong people management skills, the ability to manage priorities and create a collaborative and high performing HR team



If applicable, you would provide leadership and effective management of business unit staff to influence employee commitment to the organization, to the team and to their job
