Position Summary Performs safety and occupational health management for a large warehouse complex for a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contract located in the Bahrain region of the Middle East.
Offer of position is contingent upon the Agility DGS win of the DLA contract.
- Performs safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety program enforcement for contractor operations.- Manages, implements, and maintains required environmental operation procedures to ensure company and employee awareness, comprehension, and adherence to approved health, safety and environmental practices for assigned program.- Conducts regular quality and safety inspections/audits of site operations- Prepares hazard and environmental waste programs, guides and updates them as needed- Responds to customer concerns and tracks corrective actions taken in response to internal and customer inspection/audit findings- Provides guidance and direction to achieve compliance with all appropriate safety and quality standards- Maintains awareness of regulatory changes and distributes safety-related information- Provide technical safety and health advice and assistance to management, supervisors, employees, and safety representatives- Investigate incidents and complaints, creates reports and enters findings into the tracking system, recommends corrective actions for unsafe conditions
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Level:
- All applicants must be willing and able to relocate to Bahrain and travel as needed.- Minimum of 3-5 years of Safety and Occupational Health experience- Experience managing a Safety Program OCONUS on a U.S. Government contract- Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Attributes:
- Four (4) year degree in Environmental, Health and Safety Management preferred but not required with suitable experience- OSHA and HAZMAT or other related certifications

Position requires experience and/or comfort when verbally communicating with and presenting to varying levels of staff, management, officials and executives.
