1. Monitor daily operations to ensure a free flow process, and also supervise the execution of daily tasks
2. Develop and enforce sound policies and structures for the growth of the business unit
3. Oversee the processing of centralized loans and other banking activities to ensure due process, accuracy and accountability are followed
4. Develop and monitor card issuance and delivery process for customers. This includes Debit, Credit and Prepaid cards. PIN management for all these cards in their relevant systems.
5. Devise the in-store processes including onboarding of both Asset & Liability products, customer servicing, and cash related processes.
6. Respond to customer issues in the agreed SLA and provide solutions to avoid re-occurrence of such issues.
7. Create and implement long-term operations plan for the local division to ensure continuity of business operations.
8. Ensure client data is protected from the public and secured against fraud by enforcing access rights and verification levels
9. Develop financial backup plans to protect business operations in the event of major crises that could result in huge losses
10. Collaborate with heads of other units and group operations to develop best practices for successful banking operation.
11. Manage the operations unit that includes reviewing and authorizing payment; monitor and control a range of similar corporate payment operations such as SARIE, SWIFT, utilities etc., ensuring compliance with Bank policies & procedures, Central Bank rules & regulations and the delivery of a high-quality service to customers
12. Verify all transactions related to complex and high-risk payments ensuring their closure as per required timelines. Review all complicated queries, complaints and provide guidance on their successful resolution
13. Contribute to the development of and implement the SLA for the processing of incoming and outgoing payments. Implement special workflow for government and corporate payments.
14. Establish communication method for foreign currency payments issues (incoming or outgoing). Define threshold amounts in funds transfer and coordinate with treasury for processing such transactions
1. Contribute to development of and implement the internal settlement process
2. Escalate the technical issues to the IT and ensures good communications and timely problem resolution. Coordinate with CBB team whenever required
3. Ensure the execution of regular reconciliation process and financial bookings
4. Ensure all documents related various transactions are filed (hard/soft copy) and archived. Follow document retention and disposal procedures, ensuring minimal discrepancies and loss of information
5. Monitor risk related to payment operations and provide advice to business groups on operational risk management in order to ensure compliance with Basel guidelines
6. Participate in audit and follow up all audit issues under the purview to ensure that it is adequately addressed and closed as per agreed upon timetable
7. Prepare/generate statistical and management reports such as (CBB Quarterly Report) according to prescribed schedules so that all relevant parties are assured of the integrity of transactions and to facilitate decision making.
8. Follow all service quality policies and guidelines, SLA’s and communicate internal/external complaints to supervisor so they remain up to date with complaints, service quality level and operations processing issues
9. Ensure all payment operations policies and bank guidelines are complied with, conform to risk policies and procedures, Basel framework and AML policies to ensure regulatory compliance
10. As required contribute to digital channel development by delivery product (processes and operations) expertise for agile SCRUM team
