1. Develop and implement business plans for the retail products (working with other stakeholders as appropriate), including product definition/ development, pricing strategy, capacity requirements (staffing and other resources), technology requirements/ testing, input to branding and marketing plan, specific requirements of Islamic proposition
2. Design products focused on digital strategy and the profitability model that works for online products and services.
3. Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products
4. Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; review costs and volume against market demand.
5. Ensure innovative and relevant product development to maximize market share and profitability:
a. Compile inputs from retail banking units for development of liability and asset portfolio base, and product structure.
b. Analyze and review Retail products to determine pricing, market approach, clientele and rate sensitivity, while working closely towards product rationalization, analysis and risk management
c. Analyze market sectors, history, competitor’s activities and emerging marketing approach to recommend the best approach in tackling competition
d. Liaise with campaign/ segment managers and other key stakeholders to gather customer data. Perform analysis of customer information in all dimensions such as product enrolment, demographic profiles, usage patterns, etc. to ensure that the products are aligned with the needs of customers
6. Engage with other key stakeholders for the development of; risk approval policies and processes (including scoring and collections); operational processes and procedures including straight through processing, incentive programs, product training plans and critical outsourcing and vendor agreements including SLAs
7. Work closely with Marketing to ensure targeted launch and widespread exposure for product consumption. Track and review performance of new promotions, highlighting gaps to the supervisor and ensuring optimum closure
8. Perform periodic life cycle management audits ensuring complete compliance to retail strategy
9. Ensure complete product support and knowledge to the stores and other retail staff for all Retail products
10. Provide the supervisor with weekly and monthly analysis of the retail products, performance. Report any gaps or loops within the transaction process and recommend product innovation techniques
11. Stay abreast of trends in areas of retail banking, technology and customer trends, particularly those relevant to digital banking.
12. Ensure all retail policies and bank guidelines are complied with, conform to risk policies and procedures, AML, KYC policies to ensure regulatory compliance. Follow all service quality policies and guidelines, SLA’s and communicate internal/external complaints to supervisor
13. As required contribute to digital channel development by delivery product (processes and operations) expertise for agile SCRUM team
