 Assist and direct workers in diagnosis of malfunctions in equipment and machinery

 Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and assign mechanic for repair

 Direct workers engaged in dismantling, assembling and installing equipment, parts and machinery

 Observe mechanical devices and equipment and listen to sounds to determine proper functioning or identify causes of trouble

 Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment

 Interprets company policies and safety regulations to ensure compliance and safe work environment

 Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and assigns duties

 Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules

 Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.

 Plan and implement a schedule of routine and preventative maintenance procedures and assign and monitor personnel.

 Order parts needed for special projects, routine maintenance requirements, spare parts, tools and equipment needed

 Studies production schedules and estimates workers hours requirements for completion of job assignments

 Implements preventative maintenance programs / monitors existing programs

 Coordinates maintenance services to be provided by outside vendors, including warranties and service contracts

 Motivates workers assigned to achieve goals and complete tasks in a timely manner

 Maintains time and productions records

 Coordinates with other supervisors and departments to ensure optimal use of resources, time and equipment

 Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

 Participating in setting the department budget through identifying expected expenses.

 Defining and executing plans for development and increasing productivity.

 Controlling expenses and keeping it within the set budget.

 Raising the technical performance of the section.

 Issuing regulations, technical and administrative decisions for achieving plans and programs which complies with the approved authorities and responsibilities.

 Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates for reviewing progress and work flow, discussing their suggestions and taking suitable actions accordingly.

 Preparing periodic reports with respect to the activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct supervisor for review.

 Specifying manpower requirements according to the recruitment and selection system and as per the human resources planning practices at the company.

 Identifying training needs of subordinates and evaluating the outcomes of the training courses in coordination with the concerned employees in the HR & Admin Department.

 Following-up employee affairs including vacations, leaves …etc.

 Conducting performance appraisals for subordinates according to scheduled plans and recommending necessary actions as per the applied practices at the company.

 Nominating a deputy to carry out the responsibilities of the position in case of absence or whenever the need arises.
