I am currently looking for a Construction Site Manager (permanent staff) for a leading IOC to be based in Oman.
Paramount to the success of this task is to ensure that the work is expedited on time and within budget. We require the incumbent to possess very strong on site project management and High-Level negotiation skills. He must have experience in scheduling, and the Management of construction teams completing all piping and flow-lines installation. Fully conversant with procedures and subsequent codes of practice.
The Construction Site Manager responsibilities include but not limited to:
*Responsible for monitoring the contractors, for competence, on all aspects of Coordinating construction, supporting teams together with a number both On plot & Off plot activities all of which need to be in accordance with the project specifications.
*Review and approve contractor's final as-built measured quantities as well as work content - review ongoing recordable time sheets etc….
*Monitor all aspects of Piping/Electrical/Civils/structural construction work to meet the project specifications, meet with P&ID's, and engineering ISOs'.
*Support the ongoing construction activities by displaying a very high level awareness of HSE issues and imparting that protocol to the HSE Muscat based manager & HSE site manager for control of the same.
*Monitor the ongoing works with the contractor and apply PWT procedures.
*Liaise with QA/QC Departments on a day to day basis.
*Advise and update the discipline Engineer H.O.C. of any technical or scheduling problems or material constraints in a concise and timely manner.
*To coordinate very strongly with the commissioning / Op's / Maintenance groups whilst managing labor to maximize the output and productivity of the workforce
Requirement:
*High School and college further education (HND preferred)
*Minimum of 20 - 25 years of previous experience in a similar role.
*English speaking and reading /writing is essential.
