A leading governmental organization based in Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit experienced mechanical technicians to join their dynamic team of professionals. The desired candidates must have experience with mechanical systems maintenance.
The senior mechanical technician will be responsible for all minor and major maintenance repair and installation of a wide variety of various mechanical systems, industrial equipment and systems. The role will also be responsible for performing work as per assignments provided through the work order and/or verbal communication. The role should perform quality work as part of the ISO 9001 program.
Major Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Responsible to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems. Conduct repairs, rebuilds and installation of wide variety of various mechanical and other industrial equipment. This includes, but not limited to, compressors, pressing machines, boilers, dynamometers, cranes, pumps, lifting jacks, sandblasters, sweepers, welding machines etc.
- Responsible for preparing hand sketches for various mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for modification and or/capability enhancements.
- Responsible for building job plans for various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic repair and installation using charts, technical manuals, past experience and OEM technical manuals.
- Responsible for identifying required spares for Mechanical maintenance, repair and installation and assist the senior/supervisor with generation of Purchase Request.
- Perform all required periodic Mechanical servicing and respond to emergency calls.
- Ensure all equipment, tools and high value property assigned to him are maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and constantly safeguarded.
- Ensure safety practices, housekeeping standards and environmental controls are all adhered to at the highest standard level.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Machine Tools.
