Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all Special Systems for the Airport North Node and Winglets, Lounges and Food and Beverage and specialty assignments as required located throughout the entire terminal.
Closely liaises with the prime contractor and their subcontractors, design consultant, and interfaces with other related construction packages while reporting to owner.
Provides project and construction management to oversee all special systems activities to ensure a comprehensive package starting with design through ORAT (Operational Readiness and Testing).
Coordinates with planned design and construction activities as part of the overall Work plan.
Coordinates the work of the Special Systems team for the various construction packages.
Prepares and submits progress reports and takes actions to minimize the adverse effects of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
Manages all QA/QC documentation and makes recommendations for timely correction of any inadequacies found. Monitors and expedites corrections to maintain the project schedule.
Assists in the development of RFP documents, negotiation and award recommendation of proposed scope changes.
Confers with owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as construction problems, work procedures, interface coordination with other construction packages and complaints.
Assists the Special Systems Project Lead with keeping the project on budget and on schedule.
Coordinates review and approval of design submittals, method statements, bills of material, and cable management system data.
Reviews Value Engineering assessments for alternative specifications and methods and prepares recommendation reports for Client approval to include cost, schedule and quality assessment.
Performs Special System design deliverable document review and other activities associated with design completion management as assigned.
Inspects and reviews systems installation projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
