Our client, an Education Management company is currently recruiting for a Principal for an established K-12 school in Dubai, commencing at the earliest opportunity. This is an opportunity for an experienced and confident school leader to make a tangible improvement in school performance. The main purpose of the role is to provide leadership to school management and teaching staff and manage all activities effectively in order for the students to realise their highest potential and the school contributes fully to each student’s educational and personal development. The Principal will be required to develop and maintain a range of high quality integrated services that meet the needs of students and their families in the local community. The job holder is expected to provide inspiration, vision and professional leadership for the school in order to secure its success. Key Accountabilities • Provide clear, exemplary leadership as the leading professional in the school through the development and implementation of policies that promote the aims of the school. • Oversee progress in all areas of school policy by agreeing performance criteria and monitoring progress towards achievement. • Implement policies for managing staff performance that promotes progress for students and continuous professional development of staff. • Deploy and manage members of staff and allocate responsibilities. This includes the maintenance of job descriptions for all team members. • Monitor and evaluate the standards of teaching and learning in the school in order to ensure that high standards of professional performance are established and maintained. • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of a broad and balanced curriculum and its effective delivery. • Ensure that the school curriculum policies are clearly documented in all areas and continue to develop measures for the effective assessment of children’s progress, both formative and summative. • Continue to develop and implement an effective system of record keeping and communication with parents and students to ensure the aims relating to each student's progress are achieved. • Continue to develop and implement an effective admissions system, ensuring the school attracts the highest calibre of students and that their applications are reviewed and processed in a timely and efficient manner that meets the needs of the school and the parents. • Ensure adequate supervision, security and maintenance of the school buildings and grounds and all matters relating to Health and Safety.
