Our client, a leading Oil and Gas Exploration company is currently looking to recruit a Supply Excellence & Business Systems Specialist with a main focus on Purchasing for a 6 month contract. The successful candidate must be available to mobilise and start within the next 2-3 weeks.
Overview of Role:
Plans and implements the activities related to business systems and supply excellence in the Supply Department. Work closely with Head of Purchase (HOP) to improve the efficiency of the Division by leading the implementation of all business improvements and best practices.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and review Expediting policies and procedures and identifying gaps and providing the necessary analysis and how it is linked to the Purchasing activities
- 40% improvements in existing activities to meet stakeholders expectation and on time deliveries that leads to customer satisfaction
- 30% improvements in Saving due to the process improvements
- Identify the gaps and develop programs for continuous improvement in all expediting process including managing freight forwarders and logistic entities
- Develop Strategic plans for current and future expediting and logistics needs
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain or equivalent.
- CIPS certified or equivalent reputable certification desirable.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or similar reputable certification desirable
- 10 years' experience in purchasing and expediting in the oil/gas industry.
- Prior exposure to procurement improvement process particularly expediting
- Knowledge and experience in the use of computer software and systems.
- Preferred knowledge in ERP systems, SAP preferred.
- Evidence of implementation and the success of similar projects
