Context:

• In 2011 top management of Dar Al Riyadh has initiated a company-wide change program to further develop the functions of commercial and customer management

• The inception of a commercial corporate function, the introduction of a company-wide business planning process and the development of a company-wide commercial system are the first results of this change process

• The next step is to strengthen the commercial function within the divisions by the appointment of strong commercial managers leading the divisional commercial process driving sales, revenue and margin resulting into a better market position.



Mission of the Role

• Ensure a continuous improvement of the divisional market position through the development and execution of sound marketing-mix strategies and programs.





Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth understanding of market dynamics per product/market combination and all underlying factors driving sales, margin and profit.

• Contribute to the business portfolio development of the division.

• Deliver strong strategies to improve E&A’s overall market presence and competitive position.

• Manage the division’s revolving business planning process.

• Set and implement marketing objectives and articulate dynamic feasible marketing-mix strategies as part of the divisional business plan.

• Manage the offer portfolio hierarchy and offer line-items accuracy, including price strategies, list prices and margins

• Ensure robust and timely deployment of marketing programs fueling the leads funnel and execute support activities ensuring a continuously improving sales conversion ratio.

• Drive the new business development process to ensure future organic growth.

• All divisional communication means in line with the corporate house style manual.

• Develop and maintain solid functional relationships within the organization on all responsibilities.





Tasks:

• Conduct market mapping activities on basis of secondary research sources, information gathering systems through the internal organization and market research.

• Propose market research projects and execute market research studies.

• Investigate in a structured and planned manner new product/market combinations.

• Conduct and execute business development programs for new product/market combinations together with other functional managers.

• Manage the offer hierarchy in MSD-C, including price lists and expected margins.

• Execute and coordinate marketing programs to feed the sales order funnel.

• Developed and grow a strong CRM program.

• Monitor the sales budget progress and report on business development plans / activities.

• Source and deliver appropriate training for all staff involved in marketing.

• Manage opportunity sources in line with the approved processes.

• Produce a standard pack of Management reports and KPI’s to measure and manage performance.





Expected Deliverables

• An annual 3Y Marketing Business plan.

• Adequate and sound market knowledge in a consumable form.

• Successfully implemented business programs.

• Up-to-date offer hierarchy in MSD-C.

• Strong CRM processes, data and programs driving new and repeat business.

• Balanced portfolio of PMC’s enabling E&A to strengthen market position.

• All customer stakeholders identified in MSD-C for customer retention programs.
