Manage the economic research operations in the areas of country and regional macro analysis, econometric analysis, real estate sector analysis and other high level economic subjects as deemed necessary as well as manage the financial analysis, operations and reporting functions.
KEY ACCOUNT ABILITIES
Supervision of Subordinates
1. Organize and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
2. Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.
Budgets and Plans
- Contribute to the preparation of the budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified
Research
1. Manage the compilation of economic data and policy changes to assess the implications of the change on the real estate sector.
2. Manage the economic researches with regards to competitive environment, country analysis and supply & demand analysis.
3. Oversee and develop ad-hoc requests of the firms management to ensure that the company team has access to top quality economic research insights for decision making.
4. Organize data into report format and prepare graphic illustrations of research findings in order to ensure that the reports highlights key issues and are easy to read.
5. Oversee the issuance of research reports for investors in order to demonstrate the level of details that the firm goes through and facilitate future work with them.
6. Identify and capture data sources for the economic research database (including external sources, third party providers and internal data) in order to ensure source diversification.
Financial Analysis & Management:
1. Manage the financial administrative aspects of the products and investments.
2. Establish systems and processes for payments related to funds and SPVs and for the tracking of financial position of all investments.
3. Supervise and authorize all financial analysis, cash flows and other calculations performed, and reporting to investors.
4. Supervise internal and investor reporting processes.
5. Supervise liaisons with inter department and external service providers
Operations:
1. Conduct initial and advanced due diligence and assist supervisor on delegated due diligence tasks for potential investments.
2. Provide relevant economic, demographic, financial and location analysis.
3. Analyze potential real estate investment opportunities from a quantitative and qualitative standpoint and reporting on viability of prospective opportunities.
4. Assist with the preparation and presentation of analysis reports for potential investments.
5. Prepare cash flow and investment analysis of proposed investments.
6. Ensure tracking of the cash-flow for each investment and prepared spreadsheets illustrating the flow of funds.
7. Monitor the financial standing and cash flow of each investment and analyze any variance that might happen.
8. Provide support to all analytical and operational aspects of a deal, including coordinating due diligence and overall transaction support
9. Assist in the acquisition, development, management and exit of real estate investments in markets assigned in the MENA region and development of real estate products for the company.
10. Prepare monthly reports that illustrate to the management / investor the progress of the Fund's performance and analysis of that performance in order to make business decisions via the committee.
Systems, Policies, Procedures & Reporting
-Recommend continuous improvements to departmental systems, policies, procedures and reporting, so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
