Job Overview
Laureate Vocational Saudi Arabia (LVSA) is part of the Laureate International Universities Network the world’s largest global education provider with more than 800,000 students in over 75 institutions across 30 countries and online. LVSA has been operating in Saudi Arabia since 2009 with over 300 employees and currently operates seven vocational campuses in Riyadh, Jeddah, Mecca, Kharj (south of Riyadh) and Rabigh (north of Jeddah). These vocational colleges offer two and three-year technical training programs to Saudi students between the ages of 18-23 that will lead to vocational qualifications at a range of levels in a variety of subjects. The new colleges will eventually grow to a capacity of 12,000 students.

Job Description
The Health and Safety Coordinator will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The candidate will be located in Riyadh office and is responsible for all Health and safety activities across LVSA Colleges. He will insure implementation of health and safety policies in all present and future LVSA projects. Additionally the position will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Laureate Health and Safety Policies with the compliance of the KSA standards and regulations.
• Recommend amendments to the ongoing procedures
• Developing health and safety guidelines and policies
• Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced.
• Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards.
• Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
• Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks.
• Keeping records of inspections findings, incidents and accidents
• Developing reports and to the management team and producing reports that suggest improvements.
• Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers.
• Keeping up to date with new legislation.
• Ensuring the safe installation of equipment.
• Monitoring the quality of food provided in all LVSA premises and Colleges
• Assuring that all food suppliers are in compliance with internal policies.
• Monitoring the medical services in all LVSA Colleges.
• Assuring that all medical suppliers and/or staffs are in compliance with internal policies.
