overseeing the back of house operations of the VOX Premium cinema product and manage the shift and staff. Responsible for the quality of all food and beverages served including the health and safety, presentation, timing of delivery and temperature.
• To uphold culinary standards in the daily operations
• Where applicable, assist with stock rotation and inventory checks.
• To ensure hygiene policies are met.
• To support the Commis Chefs when needed with training and on the job assistance.
• Give clear instructions to the cooks you are responsible for and check understanding.
• Develop solid working relationship with the FOH team and other departments.
• Report issues or staffing problems to the appropriate manager.
• Ensure the maintenance of the cleanliness and food handling procedures.
• Delegate tasks for the following day’s operation and necessary MEP.
• Be involved with training and succession plans for staff.
• Receive orders from purchasing and understand the quality of produce allowed to enter into the kitchen. Not to receive any produce that is below our standards.
• Assist with any tasks delegated by the manager and participate in activities outside of normal duties with other departments as reasonably requested by your manager/s.
• Ability to work under pressure and run the kitchen. Kitchen management and time management are important.
