The principal objective of the post is to provide financial stewardship and guidance to the organisation, ensuring that the institutions best interests are always considered from a financial perspective and robust financial management.
Driving best practice in financial control, to ensure that this prestigious global leader in it's field is able to realize its ambitions in a structured and risk free financial environment.
1.3. Specific Responsibilities include:

Reporting
• Providing accurate and timely financial reporting to the Executive Committee and to their European HQ in order to provide a clear and robust financial picture.
• Driving concise, accurate and robust forecasting throughout the business to ensure business critical decisions are underpinned by the good financial information.
Strategy
• Working with the key business leaders to ensure that their strategic requirements are captured and financial plans are developed to test their viability and support those that are proven viable.
• Working with the COO developing the organisations financial planning and economic strategy
• Developing business plans, considering all funding options to support investment opportunities and / or income generating activities.
• Driving the organisations strategic planning process from a financial perspective overseeing the annual budget development process.
Management
• Oversee the management of the finance team and directly manage the finance manager providing performance management and career guidance.
• Ensuring that the finance team are customer focussed and provide the control and support that the business requires in order to effectively achieve its targets.
• Provides challenge and constructive feedback to department heads on their budgetary spend, ensuring they are kept within budget and supported to do so.
• Oversees the annual external audit process in conjunction with European HQ.
Process
• Constantly reviews finance policies and procedures, driving improvements on a continuous basis to ensure maximum efficiency and robust financial control.
• Oversee and implement projects that improve financial operations such as automation of reports, online tuition fee payments, etc.
• Oversee the authorization framework at the organisation. 
• Managing account schedules.
• Manages cash flow / funding requirements.
• Overseeing debt management and repayment.
Other
• Issues bank and other company secretarial correspondence
• Undergoing programmes of training and development as may be required from time to time.
• Representing the best interest of the organisation at all times.
• Performing such other duties as may be required from time to time.
