o Install, support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, switches, WLCs, and firewalls.
o Maintains audit compliance with a requirement of centralized and distributed LAN/WAN infrastructure components, network security, backup/disaster recovery, user rights management, and asset management for the purpose of architecting, delivering and maintaining a reliable and stable technology infrastructure appropriate to support the core instructional mission of the airline.
o Network documentation and policy design/compliance.
o Performs advanced planning and project management for new network infrastructure initiatives and its impact and integration with the larger technology organization for the purpose of architecting, delivering and maintaining a reliable technology infrastructure.
o Provide network and host based security, incident response, firewall and VPN management and administration.
o Implement the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.
o Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions.
o Lead the engineering, implementation, and maintenance of security tools, solutions, processes, and policies to ensure an acceptable level of security and further improvement, including vulnerability management, wireless and wired network Intrusion detection, endpoint protection, host intrusion prevention, firewall, antispyware and anti-malware, baseline compliance and monitoring, perimeter protection, security incident and event management.
o Provide security guidance and drive infrastructure decisions in collaboration with other technical and management team, ensuring Security principles are being upheld and no violations of Security Policy is taking place.
o Support security systems deployment, management, and maintenance, including Firewalls, VPNs, and infrastructure monitoring, reporting, and associated sensor systems.
o Provide computer security incident prevention, reporting, and analysis support with a state-of-the-art subject matter expertise regarding information security vulnerabilities and solutions.
o Compile information from various sources (log analysis, incident reporting, event analysis, etc.) into comprehensive monthly reporting detailing historical and trend information.
o Develop, update, and report performance metrics and status on security compliance
o Ensure decisions around deviations from standards are properly identified, addressed and communicated.
o Identify network and security requirements, recommend, design, and implement solutions, and ensure compliance to corporate security policies and procedures.
o Provide bi-annual assessment/evaluation of perimeter and internal network security.
o Troubleshooting and diagnosing network problems, and determining the most appropriate means of resolving problems and issues to improve network performance
