In Mavericks, the Master Teacher is director of the learning environment. She/he has to:
- Select the learning activities, decide how they will be executed and ensures students' understanding of and motivation about what is expected from them
- Look at students’ progress reports and plan accordingly
- Communicate progress with Principal and parents through different channels
- Guide the Facilitators of Learning throughout the students’ learning process
- Provide guidance and professional development for the FoL
- Decide on the station rotation plan during the learning blocks of a given day
- Decide which students do what, when, and where.
