Ensure and audit that employers comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.
Develop and implement safety policies to help the company reduce accident-related costs and prevent losses due to a decline in productivity.
Inspect interior and exterior workspace/site to determine if there are any safety hazards
Observe employees to ensure they are wearing required personal protective equipment and following company safety and quality policies.
Conduct an investigation to determine why the accident happened, when an accident occurs.
Identify training needs, develop appropriate training programs and deliver training to employees.
Solicit feedback from employees and use that feedback to improve existing programs or create new ones.
Review standards; implement plans to meet those standards, and following all record-keeping requirements.
Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards’
Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.
