Efficiently streamline business activities within the Treasury FX & MM and other relevant units within the Bank.
•To conduct within authorized limits profitable on balance sheet and off balance sheet money market transactions with the aim of reducing cost of funds maximizing returns and generating profits.
•To effectively manage the Banks’ liquidity in all authorized currencie.
Work with the Money Market and Foreign Exchange group to achieve the units financial objectives.
Work closely with other business units to identify liquidity requirements.
Work closely with other Treasury & Capital Markets units to identify funding needs.
•Execute gapping strategies as appropriate.
•Work to identify seasonal liquidity trends and recommend ways to manage the Bank’s liquidity.
•Recommend strategies to take advantage of money market Foreign Exchange movements.
•Constant follow-up of market changes, especially related to monetary and fiscal policies changes that would have impact on direction of interest rates in the major markets.
•Protect the Bank’s liquidity position in keeping good cash-flows reports, and adopting certain tolerance levels in managing liquidity.
Monitor the various money market books performance and formulate strategies in how to minimize losses during adverse movement by markets.
Trade money market derivatives, as authorized, to take advantage of short term developments in interest rates.
•Use money market derivatives to hedge the Bank’s assets and liabilities exposures (with AGM Treasury & Capital Markets approval).
Work under the supervision of Head of Treausry FX & MM, recommend and execute plans to overlook the overall liquidity positions of the Bank in various currencies.
The job involves high level of communication with other units within the Treasury & Capital Markets areas to identify funding requirements as well as with other areas of the Bank to identify changes in liquidity trends (e.g. cashflows movements).
