Technical Writer (French) - Crossover

We are looking for a Technical Writer with French fluency to join Aurea’s dynamic, global team of documentation experts. You will work collaboratively with internal engineering teams to synthesize key information and produce invaluable documentation for our teams and products.

Key Responsibilities
- Utilize knowledge of DITA to structure, develop, manage, and publish content
- Collaborate with engineering teams to acquire extensive knowledge of functional specifications and documentation requirements
- Design documents and write topic-oriented material that meets the standards for its intended audience and is presented in an easy-to-understand user interface
- Analyze existing content in order to reuse content efficiently and effectively

Required Skills
- Knowledge of Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA)
- Fluency in both French and English (oral and written)
- Experience with Oxygen XML editor (or similar editors like Epic Editor/XMetal)
- Experience in Technical Writing (MS Style Guide, Chicago Manual of Style)
- Knowledge of working in Subversion (or similar version control systems)
- Knowledge of working in JIRA to update tickets (or similar tracking system like Bugzilla)

Desired Skills
- Knowledge of working with DocBook
- Experience with Author IT
- Experience from working in Agile development environments
- Ability to work with Ant scripts
- Understanding of Enterprise Architecture systems, CRM systems, Eclipse plugin development
- Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team structure
