Our client, one of the leading information and communication technology enabled M2M automation and control solution providers is currently recruiting for an Software Development Manager.
Job Purpose:
As the Software Development Manager, you will be accountable for the development of the core ICT enabled (Machine to Machine) M2M Managed Services delivery platform, including the value-add components from device firmware to server-side applications in line with evolving customer needs. You will also have responsibility for the Global Data Services Platform, the Managed Connectivity software framework, Device Management, Machine Analytics, Energy Management and the associated Scheduling and Business Logic using dedicated teams based both in Dubai and off-shore locations. With the role’s combination of elements of strong CMMI (or equivalent) strength, code visionary, software development management, and proven leadership coupled with ICT enabled M2M Managed Services acumen, the Software Development Manager will ensure delivery that is focused on solutions that provide the maximum business benefit and commercial advantage to the Client and its Customers.
This role is a unique opportunity for an experienced Software Development Manager within the ICT enabled M2M managed Services Industry, who can support the Client to retain its competitive leadership position in ICT enabled M2M Managed Services delivery through continuous high levels of solution stability and reliability.
As the Software Development Manager your main responsibilities will involve:
• Accountability of the creation, delivery and maintenance of the "Enterprise Device Management Platform", including the ability to adapt and compose according to market & customer requirements as well as be accountable for the functional & non-functional challenges within the M2M technology, including new M2M software products, release management, OSS/BSS systems and M2M Portal developments using internal and external suppliers.
• Delivery of the Galaxy platform in alignment with the greater ICT enabled Managed Services strategy, prioritizing and agreeing functional, non-functional and software deliverables with relevant stakeholders across the Client, ensuring requirements are realistic and achievable from a delivery perspective using internal developers as well as appropriate 3rd party partners and suppliers. Software modeling, testing (UT, FAT) and delivery of production ready code and functional specifications to the Quality team
• Responsible for the Release Management cycle of all M2M software in adherence to proven methodologies, Delivery of IT technologies that will power the expansion of the global ICT enabled M2M Managed Service into specific highly-regulated regions
• Management of communications & engagement with the Client and its Partners/Affiliates, Group Technology and Marketing, Testers and external parties as required.
• Responsible for capturing innovation into code & generating new use concepts that fulfill known challenges and/or meet required criteria, and develop these into early release pre-commercial trials, using the existing Programme gating processes.
• Taking an active role in the ICT enabled M2M Managed Services Roadmap, helping the launch of high quality innovative new services in line with growing commercial demand, driving service readiness of the M2M Products and Solutions.
