Support the team in the formulation and execution of rules, regulations, tools and infrastructures in order to trade derivatives via Kuwait Stock Exchange.
Structured Products
Assist in the design and building of necessary tools and infrastructure (mainly trading engines and pricing models) in order to support the trading activities.
Arrange for public awareness sessions in order to educate the public on the benefits of derivatives trading.
Assist in developing structured products and solutions tailored to the company’s clients’ needs.
Provide support in proposing new derivatives products to be listed on the KSE and other GCC markets.
Assist in conducting technical workshops and meeting with the exchanges (KSE & other GCC market) and regulators (Capital market authorities) to set the trading framework (including trading rules & regulations, pricing methodologies, systems, risk mitigations & others) for newly proposed derivative products and to customize the trading tool accordingly.
Assist in preparing studies, letters, memos, power point presentations and other technical material that are needed for introducing and promoting any new derivative product in the GCC region.
Coordinate and communicate with international investment banks for the aim of structuring and selling a jointly made structured product in the GCC
Operations
Assist in reviewing day-to-day transaction processing activities including filing, pricing and valuation of quoted and un-quoted securities, benchmarks, indices and other assets reported daily, updating of respective positions and portfolios, allocation of trades and others transactions, and special events recording to ensure smooth and error free flow of operations.
Assist in updating procedures and control mechanisms to effectively and efficiently execute all tasks and correctly safeguard the organization operational risks meeting regulatory requirements.
Assist in validating that all trades are reconciled before the input goes to the financial ledger system in order to inform respective fund / portfolio manager of any missed trade for appropriate action.
Ensure appropriate back-up processes / systems are in place to guarantee that all trades are captured and easily accessed at all times with no loss of data.
