Direction of the work of JRS at the field level
•Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
•Establish and communicate clear learning objectives for all activities.
•Incorporate a variety of learning materials and resources.
•Maintain standards of student care and discipline in and outside the classroom.
•Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development.
•Collaborate with the Project Director to ensure the curriculum meets students’ needs.
Care for personnel
•Attend monthly education team meetings.
•Participate in workshops and trainings.
•Collaborate and share useful materials and innovative ideas with other teachers.
Administration and finance
•Provide attendance reports and data for performance monitoring for the program, as requested by the Project Director.
•Meet all reporting requirements and maintain accurate reports and records.
Procurement and logistics
•Informing the Project Director in a timely manner (both before and during session) regarding any supplies or materials required and logistical needs.
Communication
•Build rapport with individual students.
•Encourage the growth of self‐esteem in each student.
•Identify and attempt to address (where possible) academic and personal issues which could be impacting the growth and development of each student.
Representing JRS
•Demonstrate competence and professionalism whilst adhering to the mission of JRS to accompany, Serve and Advocate the cause of refugees and displaced people.
Advocacy
•Inform the Project Director about significant advocacy needs.
