Duties and Responsibilities
Act as the project manager for overall project activities including coordination, scheduling,
permitting, supplier selection and planning for system installation.
Direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control,
integration for new business development and project execution to achieve timely
completion of the Project.
Plans and implements engineering program, including defining the project objectives,
activities, milestones, and staff requirements for each project.
Work with engineers, clients and suppliers to design on-grid and off-grid solar system
Create multidisciplinary engineering designs which produce the associated details and
construction documents necessary to direct the construction contractors.
Preparing technical drawings and outlining specifications of electrical systems. Ensure
designs and installations meet the client's requirements and all the relevant safety
regulations and approvals requirements.
Oversee projects and ensure on-time completion and within budget while providing
supervision during the installation of electrical components, systems and equipment.
Develop and maintain schedule and budget for all engineering projects.
Ensure the timely submission of all project submittals and obtaining approvals. (Drawings,
Design Details, Work Procedure, Method Statements, Schedules, Programs etc.)
Procurement support and selection of Subcontractors & Vendors,
Delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.
Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
Ensure all as built drawings are properly issued, stored and maintained,
Develop testing and commissioning plans and coordinate fulfillment
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Electrical or electromechanical Engineering
Proven administrative leadership and management ability in the area of project
management, Engineering Management and tendering.
Minimum 5-10 Years of Experience with construction and/or contracting companies.
Field construction experience in both electrical and mechanical installations
Strong engineering and construction project management background
Prior commercial solar industry experience is a plus
Experience in vendor selection and coordination
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
Results-focused, a team player with excellent negotiations skills.
Flexible, decisive and able to work under pressure.
Thorough understanding of contracts, estimating, scheduling, cost control, purchasing,
project engineering and safety
Documented experience of overseeing projects from start to finish.
