Key Job Duties
Strategic:
• Oversee development of Urban business in line with defined strategic direction.
• Incorporate marketing and research into sales activities.
• Establish departmental policies and procedures and annual performance objectives as well as reviews departmental performance on a periodic basis.
• Prepare budget and financial requirements of the division in close association with the Chief Enterprise Officer.
Operational:
• Champion initiatives that will attract new customers and penetrate new markets for Urban.
• Oversee sales of services and products provided by Urban in line with the defined strategic direction.
• Define, refine, test and implement strategic business development plans. These activities include overseeing primary research, industry, market and competitive analysis, customer needs assessment.
• Lead initial approach of potential customers as well as coordinates relationship building activities with respective service line leaders. The responsibility is limited to building customer relationship up to the point where request for proposal is received.
• Oversee development of proposals and effectively utilize business opportunities, tenders, bids and other business development opportunities for Urban.
• Analyse lost opportunities and devises strategies to win potential businesses by examining innovative means to target potential clients, liaising closely with Corporate Planning department.
• Develop growth strategy and business projections, including with phase wise implementation plans.
Perform any other work related duties as assigned by Chief Enterprise Officer.

• Contribute towards people development initiatives within the organization
