Purpose

To manage and monitor APS’s assigned Branch’s activities in order to increase profitability and market share, enhance operational efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction within APS’s operational plans, and adopted policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

Identify and capitalize upon business opportunities to ensure an increased profitability and market share

• Conduct monthly analysis on collection’s status to identify discrepancies and recommend action plans

• Recommend credit limits for new and existing customers

• Review and sign off invoices to ensure accuracy

• Oversee the after sales activities by launching customer satisfaction surveys in order to identify areas of improvement

• Monitor the branch stock levels to ensure maintaining a positive inventory level as per APS policies

• Manage the material delivery activities to ensure execution in a timely manner within APS’s policies and standards

• Participate in Commercial Affairs’ budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process

• Ensure effective utilization of Commercial Affairs’ budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered

• Investigate and propose implementing strategies that result in positive financial impact for APS and mitigates financial and operational risks

• Recommend improvements to Commercial Affairs’ policies, and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results

• Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

• Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across activities in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and responsible environmental behaviors

• Report on incident and accident occurrences to the concerned parties in order to address current and mitigate future risks

• Monitor changes to legislation and APS’s activities, and ensure such changes are covered within all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls

• Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent for Commercial Affairs

• Manage, guide and assist direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures

• Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate / appraise the team and provide regular feedback on performance
