Key Objectives of the Job Supervise and ensure smooth Civil procurement activities for all projects. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Supervises and directs the completion of project procurement commitments through the steps of bidding (enquiry), evaluation, supplier selection / recommendation, material approval and award in accordance with Procurement Procedures. 2. Reviews technical and commercial bid tabulations for accuracy, bidder recommendation, completeness and approves selection of suppliers within delegated level of approval and recommends bid selection that requires a higher level of procurement approval. 3. Ensures all commitments made by subordinate personnel are accurately presented as per procurement procedures. 4. Reviews work service order agreements and makes recommendations to ensure appropriate provisions are reflected in the general, special and pricing conditions of the document. 5. Provides expert advice and guidance on purchase of permanent civil materials. 6. Maintains the communications with organization and project personnel to ensure that the services provided are up to the standards to meet the customer requirement and satisfaction. 7. Liaison with project / site to seek clarification on material specification requirements. 8. Supervises the preparation and maintenance of project bidder lists to ensure that all the input is received from procurement. 9. Researches and prepares of reports and recommendations with respect to purchasing of equipment and materials.
