1. Purpose
To supervise activities of employees in section of restaurant and receives guests and conducts them to tables. Describes or suggests food courses and appropriate beverages.

Responsibilities and key activities
• Communicates service needs to chefs and stewards throughout functions.
• Total charges for group functions, and prepare and present checks to group contacts for payment.
• Ensures restaurants, and coffee breaks are ready for service.
• Ensures proper centerpieces are displayed on every table.
• Inspects the cleanliness and presentation of all glass, and silver prior to use. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Sets tables according to type of event and service standards.
• Communicates additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Follows all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensures uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcomes and acknowledges all guests according to company standards.
• Speaks with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stands, sits, or walks for an extended period of time.
• Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisor
