The General Manager is primarily responsible for driving and developing all aspects of the Printing & office supplies business in line with the Group's strategic, commercial and operational goals and objectives. The role requires vision, leadership and professionalism to the highest standard to maximise profitability and return-on-investment

Description



Develop and maintain a professional, flexible and focused team which will maintain business growth through highly-efficient and productive manufacturing and highly-effective creative services



Target excellence through continuous improvement tracked and measured on a month-on-month basis, ensuring actions are rigorously implemented throughout the organisation



Define 'best working practices' to yield the most cost-efficient, quality-effective creative and production processes and constantly review to improve performance



Establish and implement company business and marketing plans and customer service charter to communicate the company's value proposition/ mission statement to the team, customers, prospects, partners and suppliers



Sustainably grow company revenue, profitability and market share through new business development and existing account growth in line with monthly and quarterly targets agreed with the Managing Director



Provide front-line support for the Sales teams as required to secure, grow and develop new and existing business relationships through the provision of market-leading creative services and printing products



Develop strong and valuable commercial, operational, strategic relationships for the company



Create accurate and regular board reports detailing commercial, operational and strategic performance with revenue and profitability forecasts for the company's existing and prospective account bases



Ensure that essential, fundamental financial and commercial disciplines are in place throughout and that they are effectively monitored and constantly reviewed



Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas requiring cost reduction and program improvement



Direct and coordinate the company's financial and budgetary activities to fund operations and maximise the return on capital and resource investment



Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures in compliance with Aamal Co corporate governance and direction



Determine staffing requirements and interview, hire and train new employees ensuring that each team member has a clearly defined role and job description which clearly identifies standards and results expected



Appraise the training needs of each member of staff annually to ensure that a high standard of performance and flexibility is maintained and provide appropriate feedback to enable these needs to be actioned



Ensure all team members understand the goals and values of the company and develop and maintain a working environment where respect, enthusiasm, commitment are recognised and rewarded



Through the management team, ensure that every aspect of the working environment is kept in a clean, well-maintained and hygienic manner and that all relevant Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation is met



Implement and oversee environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, or waste management

Background in Print media essential



At least 5 years + in management role



Able to live and work in Qatar



Job Offer



approx 30,000 QAR per month negotiable
