Our client, a leading Oil and Gas Exploration company is currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager or "Supply Excellence & Business Systems Specialist- Purchase".
The position is based at the Head office (Doha)Qatar and will be offered on a 6 month contract with successful candidates ideally starting on 1st August 2014.
The successful candidate must fulfill the below criteria:
- Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain or equivalent.
- CIPS certified or equivalent reputable certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or similar reputable certification
- Minimum of 12 years experience in contracts and contracts process improvement in the oil/gas industry
- Prior exposure to management system improvement programs
- Knowledge and experience in the use of computer software and systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Reviews the Supply Chain systems and business practices, generate process
- Assist Head of Contracts for development of realistic Annual procurement plan for
contracts for Services/materials by reviewing & analysing SAP database and to
develop tender strategies. Continuous review with users to ensure alignment with
the procurement plan
- Lead each of the initiatives identified under Contracts and ensure that all such
initiatives are implemented on timely basis, progress is monitored, corrective actions
taken and supervisors are informed of the progress and the bottlenecks on a timely
manner
- Improvement and Standardization of various formats like Contract/Tender/Submission templates including design of new formats
