Hull cleaning of marine fouling on shipping Vessels used to be a dirty, dangerous and time consuming exercise. Yet an essential activity that Ship-owners has to undertake to optimize Vessel performance.
GAC EnvironHull has developed the HullWiper ROV to pioneer unmanned underwater hull cleaning technology which tackles marine fouling with unique brushless cleaning technology delivered by its Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) HullWiper, without compromising the marine environment. GAC EnvironHull provides cost-effective, efficient and environmentally-sound marine cleaning services for vessels of all shapes and sizes
We require additional Operators for the Remote Operating Vehicles (ROV’s) that we have.
Compared to deep-sea / Offshore ROV aspects, this technology is slightly different. Hence also the capabilities of the Operators we would like to hear from.
This position requires effective technical expertise as well as resource management capabilities. Key responsibilities will include:
- Operating / Piloting of the ROV safely and within limits
- Troubleshoot machine problems, coordinate replacement parts, and conduct repairs / calibrations as needed
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Organize resources to complete tasks within agreed timeframes
- Liaise with clients (including Vessel crew) and maintain effective interaction and communication
- Further improve local procedures and operational protocols
