Job Purpose:


To supervise the technical aspect of the department and highlight areas of risk within credit operations in a timely manner, and initiate their corrective action. The position holder will proactively manage the technical aspect of the credit administration processes applicable to the Bank’s portfolio and conduct Credit Administration within the parameters of the banking laws and regulations. Jobholders streamline the processes of Credit Administration to assist the business in originating good quality assets.



Accountibilities:



- Organize and plan the work of subordinates so that resources are optimally utilized and the processing efficiency of the department is maximized.

- Develop procedures and work instructions for the department in light of Credit Administration policy to ensure that activities are carried out in a controlled manner.

- Oversee the work of all subordinates to ensure that it is carried out in compliance with all relevant procedures and limits.

- Analyse non-standard security documents and approve the acceptability of such documents covering facilities/ loans granted to borrowers.

- Analyse and approve issuance of non-standard letter of guarantees. Establish and accept offshore counter guarantees from our correspondent banks.

- Overall managing the bank’s valuables, security documents, and deeds under the unit custody, and follow up on any shortfalls.

- Validate and sign account opening documents and legal files. Approve exceptions within granted autonomy.

- Approve and sign credit references, reports, and credit information for clients and to concerned authorities.

- Manage the performance of subordinates by the setting of individual objectives and feedback of performance versus targets.

- Handle incoming and out going documents to ensure proper distribution and execution of tasks.

- Coordinate with managers from other business areas to resolve problems referred from subordinates.

- Promote efficient operations in the unit to ensure providing high-quality of services to internal and external customers.

- Participate in preparing the annual operating plans and budgets for the unit.

- Manage, motivate, and coach reporting staff.
