· Provides patients with specialized services to
diagnosis and management for diseases of the kidney. The incumbent will also be
a staff member of the Internal Medicine Department.
· Responsible in maintaining quality service in
the nephrology clinic and in patient services: consultations, admissions,
procedures such as kidney biopsies dialysis and general internal medicine
duties.
· Performs duties in accordance with the
delineation of privileges as recommended by the Medical Director and approved
by the Credentials committee.
·Provides after working hours on call emergency
coverage for nephrology emergencies and hemodialysis unit and looks after
dialysis patients.
·Perform collaborative assistance in referral of
above type of patients to appropriate facilities for further management.
· Adherence to the hospital bylaw and medical
records rules and regulations by adhering to JCIA policies & formalities.
