We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, passionate and motivated Head of Arabic & Islam to join our Arabic department in August 2017.
The successful applicant will lead a team of four full-time teachers in the delivery of the Ministry of Education Arabic curriculum to native Arabic speakers in Years 7 to 11. In addition, a range of additional Arabic courses including GCSE, AS Level and IB Arabic are offered; experience in teaching to a high level is essential. Arabic is also offered to non-native speakers. Islam is compulsory for all Muslims: to Arabic speakers through the Ministry of Education curriculum and in English to non-Arabic speakers.
