Our client, a well-known investment and financial services institution is looking to hire an experienced Legal Manager to join their expanding team in Qatar. The successful candidate needs 12 years of experience in legal; function with 6 years’ experience in local/gulf bank in similar role.
Responsibilities:
• To ensure adequate legal actions and measures taken by the Legal Department are in place to handle all legal cases filed against/ or by the Bank.
• Monitor and oversee all legal related transactions to ensure that the Bank’s processes, policies, procedures and standards are in compliance with the working laws and regulations.
• Identify and establish relationships with strategic stakeholders, internal and external, to facilitate the achievement of the department’s strategy as well as the corporate strategy.
• Provide legal advice and assistance to the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer, Management & Executive Committees and the Chief Officers/ Directors with respect to legal issues on concerned business matters and any other legal assistance required.
• Follow-up on cases and legal proceedings concerning the Bank, and any other legal assistance required such as the review of external communication protocols and publications.
• Assess and approve affiliation of external lawyers with the entity.
