1. Submit an outline plan for the course at the beginning of the school year.
2. Ensure an inviting classroom atmosphere through decorations and bulletin boards
3. Submit lesson plans weekly to the department coordinator for review and development
4. Present well organized and engaging lessons to students
5. Marking student work and conducting portfolio assessments as per school guidelines or through projects, tests, exams and other assessment methods .
6. Communicating with parents regarding their children's progress.
7. Ensure an environment of mutual respect between students and teachers exists through appropriate classroom management strategies.
8. Be involved, as assigned to the following roles: Homeroom Teacher, Gate Duty, Recess Duty, Substitute Teaching, and/or extracurricular activities as assigned by the administration.
9. Ensure adherence to the highest professional standards with regards to: dress, timeliness of arrival at school, conduct with other staff.
10. Attend weekly department meetings, and weekly professional development meetings, and participate in professional development activities assigned throughout the year.
