The Role:
As Area Manager you will lead multi-site store teams to meet their targets, be responsible for all store and employee development including performance management, coaching and identifying development, and be accountable for visual merchandising in assigned stores. You will also actively contribute to the development of business initiatives including new stores and store closures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Customers
1. Ensures restaurants provide 100% customer satisfaction. Coach restaurant managers on achieving 100% Customer satisfaction. Drives “CUSTOMER COMES FIRST” culture.
2. Asks for suggestions and reactions from customers when visiting units. Demonstrates commitment to customer service by addressing customer issues and supporting management teams and Team Members to resolve customer concerns as well.
3. Manages Brand image through signage and curb appeal by reviewing OSR (Operation Standards Review). Maintains proper staffing levels at all times, ensuring manpower levels meet the business needs in the restaurants.
People
1. Trains & coach new and experienced managers and employees. Continually develops them in their technical skills, food preparation, food safety, and sanitation knowledge. Effectively uses SRG (Standard Reference guide) as reference to coach standards compliance.
2. Reviews ongoing performance results and identifies needs of Managers & Team Members within the Area. Implements coaching or mentoring partnerships as appropriate.
3. Quarterly Review bench planning process (Identifies potential candidates for development and people at risk) and executes IDPs (Internal development plans) with HR.
Sales & Profit
1. Ensures ongoing sales skill and new product knowledge development of managers and employees. Ensures restaurants are ready for marketing initiatives and product promotions and execute suggestive selling.
2. Drives Cost of Sales Cost of Labor & Cost of Semi-variables on budget or better than budget.
3. Coaches Management Team in Mgmt. Controllable through tracking Expenses on a daily and weekly basis. Provides follow-up during unit visits.
Planning, Organizing & Leading
1. Effectively communicates company Vision, and strategy to restaurant teams. Communicate clearly & directly with managers concerning performance, efficiency, services, productivity, and accountability.
2. Seeks maximum utilization of manpower potential. Drives operation % Mix to Total Sales on Target or above Target

2. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive and motivate performance through effective coaching skills
3. Highly organized with the ability to adapt quickly to strategic change
4. Self starter, who takes the imitative & Exceptional communicator
5. Ability to train and develop the skill and knowledge of direct reports & previous multi site area/retail management experience.
