• Promote products effectively and understand customer buying habits to maximize sales.
• Promote products effectively and through promotions and sales drives to maximize sales opportunities.
• Merchandising of products to enhance visibility.
• Ensure the truck is maintained and filled with fuel and that all procedures for licenses and reporting accidents are adhered to.
• Ensure products are verified against daily van loading sheet and reorganize products where necessary.
• Ensure products are delivered according to customer requirements.
• Follow the checking in and unloading procedures and handle all loads effectively.
• Prepare all delivery documentation and follow the journey plan to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Build customer relationships and handle any complaints effectively.
• Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained at customer premises.
• Ensure assistants portray company image and direct them on tasks to be completed, giving feedback on their progress.
• Ensure assistants carry out their duties effectively in relation to handling cash and credit, safe working practices, merchandising standards, selling ability and customer service.
• Responsible for handling and security of all cash and credit and adhering to paying in procedures and the rules for credit collections and credit limits.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and reconcile return load.
