Our client is seeking to recruit a MEP Procurement manager to manage and over see the procurement department managing the end to end procurement requirements of the company.

Description



The Procurement Manager will report directly to the General Manager while being responsible for:

- Implementing the procurement strategy and policies- Forecasting the procuremnt needs of upcoming projects- Continually developing expertise to support growth for new projects- Monitoring the macro trends in supplier and contract base and implement plans to react- Building and developing relationships with key suppliers and customers- Leading the procurement team in all phases - from tendering throughout- Ordering materials and services as per negotiated and appropriately approved and continuously review quotations in order to ensure the best price is being attained- Preparing purchase requisitions, approving and issuing purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions- Managing vendor relationships and assisting in the building of effective partnerships- Planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications- Managing the procurement team- Assisting in the tendering process





Profile

- Minimum 15 years procurement experience, with at least 8 years experience in a Senior procurement role- Bi-lingual - Arabic and English- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree is a must- Experience in the Qatari market will be an advantage, and the candidate will ideally have worked in the GCC market
