The infrastructure engineer manages, supports, and implements the company’s technology solutions in a highly dynamic environment. He works as part of a team in support of operational and project-related activities. The infrastructure engineer provides advanced technical and operational support to other departments and teams as required in support of business objectives.
Essential Functions:
• Support and manage the company’s remote access technologies.
• Evaluate and support diverse remote access client platforms.
• Document solutions, prepare training, and coordinate support for internal and external customers.
• Provide support for related infrastructure components
• Monitor and oversee security, performance, and quality issues with related systems.
• Work with Security Engineers to ensure quality; perform related updates to the company’s systems.
• Coordinate system development to include design, integration, and formal testing.
• Maintain a 24/7 production hosting environment and work on-call for evening or weekend hours as needed.
• Investigate new technologies and provide architecture guidance related to remote access services.
• Act as part of a team to evaluate solutions, troubleshoot problems, and maintain infrastructure systems.
• Analyze and provide implementation plans.
• Build and modify systems to meet project and user requirements.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for applications and systems.
• Provide mentoring to fellow administrators.
• Configure and tune hardware and software to ensure optimum performance and resource utilization.
• Generate technical support documentation for systems and application.
• Perform other assignments as needed.
