Reports to: Legal Director



ROLE PURPOSE:



To perform administrative duties for the QMA’s Legal Affairs Division, such as conducting a variety of research and analytical assignments, drafting legal or administrative documents, conducting reviews of relevant legislation, preparing reports and taking meeting notes.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES



1. Operational Support

 Conducts research to support legal proceedings as and when required

 Collects and analyzes research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents, regulatory requirements, international treaties etc.

 Assists with legal procedures and documentation training to QMA employees

 Supports the implementation of the Department’s policies and procedures

 Supports contract negotiation through the review of contracts and documents in collaboration with the Legal Counsel

 Develops regular status reports for supervisor review

2. Administration Support

 Provides administrative services including, but not limited to, routing calls and emails, recording meeting minutes, as well as preparing and drafting internal and external correspondence

 Assists in the drafting of the department’s policies and procedures

 Assists in the preparation and documentation of legal contracts, deeds, leases, opinions and other legal papers of a routine nature

 Assists in continuous development of standard templates and formats for legal documents

 Assists QMA legal team on ad-hoc administrative activities as requested
