Reports to: Legal Director
ROLE PURPOSE:
To perform administrative duties for the QMA’s Legal Affairs Division, such as conducting a variety of research and analytical assignments, drafting legal or administrative documents, conducting reviews of relevant legislation, preparing reports and taking meeting notes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Operational Support
Conducts research to support legal proceedings as and when required
Collects and analyzes research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents, regulatory requirements, international treaties etc.
Assists with legal procedures and documentation training to QMA employees
Supports the implementation of the Department’s policies and procedures
Supports contract negotiation through the review of contracts and documents in collaboration with the Legal Counsel
Develops regular status reports for supervisor review
2. Administration Support
Provides administrative services including, but not limited to, routing calls and emails, recording meeting minutes, as well as preparing and drafting internal and external correspondence
Assists in the drafting of the department’s policies and procedures
Assists in the preparation and documentation of legal contracts, deeds, leases, opinions and other legal papers of a routine nature
Assists in continuous development of standard templates and formats for legal documents
Assists QMA legal team on ad-hoc administrative activities as requested
