1. Prepare daily bank position
2. Handle Letters of Credit - Check the LC request format attached with purchase order and approved price comparison. Fill in LC applications and secure signatures, check LC’s opened with LC applications, advise banks of any errors, handle LC documentation, acceptance and monitor delivery and expiry date of LC’s update LC position on daily basis.
3. Handle Bank Guarantees - Fills in BG applications, arrange renewal of Guarantees etc. and update Bank Guarantee position on daily basis.
4. Issue receipts to clients/ others for cheques / cash received arrange to deposit cash / cheques into the bank and posting of all bank transactions.
5. Reconcile all bank accounts.
6. Check thoroughly petty cash reimbursement claims as per company policy and procedures prior to writing cheques. Prepare staff payroll summary and employee deduction break up, wages denomination and transfer letter to bank for salary transfer.
7. Check staff leave / terminal settlements prepared by assistant.
8. Accounts data back - up daily, weekly and monthly.
9. Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts including Intercompany accounts.
10. Prepare prepaid schedules of rents, Insurance, labour camp costs and their monthly allocation JV’s
11. Maintain fixed assets register and their monthly depreciation JV’s, tools register and their charged outs and vehicle allocation JV’s on monthly basis.
12. Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, cost control report.
13. Assist in preparation of periodical financial statements i.e. Trial Balance, Profit and Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
14. Reconciliation of supplier’s account.
