A leading company in the Petrochemical Sector are currently seeking to hire a Section Head of Financial Accounting.
The incumbent will have the overall responsibility for ensuring that all processes related to Financial Accounting & Consolidation function (i.e., posting of journal entries, GL and SL reconciliation, preparation of GL reports and Trial Balance, Financial Statement Close Process - FSCP, etc.) are carried out efficiently, effectively and in accordance with regulatory requirements, and applicable Accounting and Financial Reporting standards
Responsibilities:
Support the Manager - Financial Accounting in contributing to the achievement of the company vision by taking initiatives in improving Financial Accounting processes.
Contribute toward the formulation of strategy, annual business plan, policies and procedures of Finance Department to support organizational business strategy.
Assist the Manager - Financial Accounting in meeting set targets and objectives of Financial Accounting function.
Assist the Manager - Financial Accounting in the development, implementation and maintenance of Financial Accounting policies and procedures.
Keep current with latest laws and regulatory requirements related to Financial Accounting.
Stay abreast of current and changing trends and leading practices in Financial Accounting including IAS & IFRS.
Supervise direct subordinates in their day-to-day tasks and provide guidance in managing performance by providing appropriate feedback, mentoring and counseling.
Allocate work to direct subordinates, nominate for training as per company guidelines, conduct performance reviews and manage leave and overtime to ensure efficiency.
Approve regular vacation scheduling, business leave and emergency leave of direct subordinates in accordance with the Human Resources policies and procedures.
