• Agreement Revision: Prepare / Review Loan Agreements and other contracts, for ensuring that Bank’s legal rights are adequately protected, in all activities undertaken by the Bank
• Budget: Develop and monitor annual legal budget for the department to ensure that all financial targets/obligations are met and appropriate financial control are in place.
• External Lawyers: Lead a team of external lawyers to implement the strategies, and ensure adequate monitoring/follow up
• Legal Advice: Provide and recommend accurate legal advice/opinion to the Board, Management and Staff to ensure that decision making are legally correct and that bank’s interest are protected.
• Legal Awareness: Maintain an awareness of developments in the legal field which might affect the bank and prepare reports on relevant matters for consideration by management.
• Legal Representation: Represent the Bank at meeting with external bodies to ensure that legal aspects of any decisions are fully considered.
